Newcomers Need to Understand Rights,
Responsibilities
July 9, 2004 - Ayuda will
provide a central location where Hispanic residents can learn about their rights
and responsibilities.
Ayuda will become a clearinghouse, where recent arrivals can get accurate
information and a dose of compassion as they struggle to understand a new
culture.
Too often in the past, new Hispanic residents have had to rely on word of mouth,
often inaccurate, as they struggled with such things as lease or rental
agreements, or how to get a driver's license.
